A lot of you keep asking me how I'm doing this nice retro-grungy-polaroid-like borders and frames around my images. So, here are some explanations.
First, I don't use any plugin: I consider that borders, like pictures, should be designed by yourself using your own tools - they're part of your own creation. Mine are painted with Photoshop brushes made of pictures of old walls, skotch tape, etc... It's pretty easy to create your own. Just carry a camera with you and keep looking around at the walls. You'll notice interesting patterns, for instance, in broken windows. Shoot them, then convert them to B&W, ensuring that the background is white and the "grunge brush" element is black. Define a brush. And paint with it !
I'm (kindly ) providing you two sets of brushes ( www.deviantart.com/deviation/1… www.deviantart.com/deviation/1… )... if you would like to use mine. They're very large, as I'm currently dealing with 2000x3000 pixels pictures. I don't even ask you to credit me, you can freely use them in your own creations. I would appreciate a link to see what you've done, but, once again, feel free of any constraint. If you find them useful, I would like to read your comment on them

Looking for models in Hong Kong in May
Dear friends,
I hope that you're doing great! It's been such a long time since I haven't updated my portfolio here! I'll try to add something in May.
Speaking of which, I'm looking for female models who would like to pose for me in Hong Kong on May 5. or 6. 2018.
See this for more information:
Thank you and have a great day!

Looking for models (New York - Detroit - May 2014)
Hello!
Hope you're all good. For once, I'm posting a different journal.
I am looking for female models in New York and Detroit for May 2014.
I'm planning a trip and nothing is sure at the moment. What you should know:
- You will be participating to one of my personal projects. There will be no financial compensation but you will get the final retouched pictures in high-quality files.
- There probably won't be much portraits but more research on body-poses. Please check my recent work below to see if you're interested. Being a dancer/actor is a plus, but isn't required.
- You should be comfortable in taking uncomfortable and unusual pose
More than 10 years on DA!
Yeah, it's true! It' been more than 10 years that I've been on DA! What a long time! :highfive:
Thank you all for your support! You surely helped me make progress and improve my work.
I'm still quite active, producing lots of new projects. Unfortunately, I don't upload them much on DA, so here are some sample images. You will find much much more works on my website: simplemoment.com
If you're interested to follow my ongoing projects, there's also a Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/jsmonzani.news
Have a pleasant day!
