So, this is really my first-time test with short movie sequences. I've sometimes uploaded movie versions of my photostories but they were only using still images.

We shot this footage besides the regular photo-session, just for fun. I was more of a test to see how my new camera can handle this (Canon EOS 5D Mark II). Control is still rather primitive with this camera at the moment, I've used an old manual lens to control the DOF. Directing the model is also quite different.

I'm not planning to do long movies - I'll still work with photos most of the time but you can probably expect more short clips movies like this one.

Oh, and I've composed the music, as usual.

I hope that you'll like this first test.

By the way, the photos can be viewed in this collection: [link]

I would like to thank the CGN for lending us the "Rhône" Belle Epoque boat.

It was shot with the amazing ground breaking Canon 5D mark II. Give a master a great tool, and you will get a stunning artistry Master piece. ( Suggested by Osox and Featured by ElectrikPinkPirate )

@00:01There are a lot of programs out there, Adobe Premiere, Sony Vegas and Final Cut are the most famous.
I use Serif Movie Plus X3 as a cheap alternative, but it's somehow limited.

It kind of leads you to believe that first off, she's in the afterlife and confused. But then you're lead to believe she's mourning someone whose died and then it seems as though she is the one who died, and that her afterlife is your memory. But then mysteriously, she vanishes---fades away like memories do. It makes you part of the movie and takes you to many different conclusions in this neat little journey. Plus the lack of colours in contrast to her hair and eyes--very beautifully done. Love the music too!

Hi and thanks,
1. I've used an old M42 lens without automatic diaphragm.
2. Serif Movie Plus X3 (don't want to invest in Premier / After effects at the moment)

@01:57|/L_</; Very bittersweet! I can't resist her eyes that wanders away in despair.

I think what's tendering is that the model is an Asian woman (not trying to be stereo typical) and the lightening which creates a celestial touch.

Disappointingly, I just think she moved around too much with her posture and her eyes(sorry, just my thoughts and little criticism).
