This is a scaled-down version of the new intro page for my website -> [link] I've given a simple minimalistic look to it as it's a menu and people should easily browse it.
I wanted to make more room for the photos on it, as well as being able to change them more often. Therefore, there's a roll-over effect (image changing) when you move the mouse, as well as a slideshow fading effect for the "Portraits" section, which is the most important part of the site.
From time to time, a little animated bird appears quickly in the background, just to make the page a little more dynamic and intriguing.
My requirements are always the same: - the page should load on everyone's computer - no Flash (yes, you might not agree on that but believe me, Flash often doesn't work on big companies' employees desktop) - the fading animation is done in Javascript and even when Javascript is disabled, the page should look fine.
