A primer guide to Adobe CamRAW

This tutorial assumes that you know what RAW format is in digital photography. I will present here my typical workflow - the order of the steps is very important!

This is for Adobe Photoshop CS. For CS2, uncheck all those Auto boxes (I think you can do this will Control+U)

IMPORTANT: How did I exposed this photo?
In digital photography, you'll get more details in the hilights and it is thus wise to expose the image as much as possible WITHOUT burning the highlights. This picture seems rather dark and you might wonder why I underexposed it. Well it is not underexposed: it just came out that there were too much contrast in this scene, and a regular exposure would had burned out the highlights. I thus tried to expose it so that there are still details in the highlights. Sure, it is not the best histogram you could generally get but it was roughly the best choice in this case. Bear in mind that the sunlight was changing it's not always easy to deal with it.
